A Walk Through The Word exists to provide individuals and groups with a personalized journey through the Bible and their lives by equipping them with the technology and resources they need to (1) stay in the Word daily, (2) keep track of life through personal/private journals and thoughts related to readings, and (3) encourage community as they go through the BIble together and see how it is impacting others lives.

This site started off as a single page back in 2008 (I think) that was designed as a "readalong" to the Daily Audio Bible, an audio podcast read daily by Brian Hardin that tracks through the entire Bible once each year. As the DAB grew, the readalong continued to develop as well, eventually becoming it's own entity at this site.

Translations I am commenting similar to Mark Smith's post of 2-6-11, where I am having some frustration with translation changes, and certain translations not being available. Is there a reason for this? For the most part, it is not a problem, but it does come up enough to be a bit annoying. Then I spend a good part of the reading, looking for alternate translations or going to biblegateway. Anyway - would be nice to be in total sync. Thanks! Submitted By: Tracie

Listen Now What do I need to do to listen to my daily readings? I do not hear anything from my speakers, I can click on the stop and pause and play buttons but nothing changes. Submitted By: Darold Lowe

available bible translations This week's translation that Brian is reading from is not on your list. Is this an oversight or are you just unable for permissions reasons? I had to go to Biblegateway.com to find each portion of the reading to follow Brian. Kinda defeats the whole purpose of this site, don't you think? These kinds of issues make me wonder about the long term viability of this site. Appears that I'm the only one posting journal entries out of 662 members? Seems a bit weird to me. Why are you the creators of the site not posting as well? Shouldn't you guys be the lead here? Are you personally even using the site everyday? It would be nice to see your breadcrumbs. I landed here via some links from Daily Audio Bible. This site is a real treasure. I've been trying to link hearing the word with reading the word for a while and I've found a few ways to do it but this site is so much better than anything else I've found. Another feature that I really appreciate is the ability to hear the next days readings especially when I know I have a real busy day upcoming, so being able to jump ahead keeps me from falling behind. I notices skipped psalms I noticed some skipped psalms in the second time around it the reading. I like to follow along with Brian reading the bible. He seemed to fix it where he doen't skip any psalms, so it kind of thows you off when you are following along. Submitted By: Jason

First of all, kudos to all of you for this site! It's great to have available to read with DAB. Psalm 56 was the DAB reading WTTW always corresponds in the text however for about a week now WTTW has been out of sync. Psalm 94 is what is on this. Is it supposed to correspond? Submitted By: Sandy

E-mail Delivery First let me say well done, I see you have added in Brian's Daily Transcripts from DAB... This site gets better and better.... I think something weird is happening perhaps on my end, but it could be on your end? The automatic e-mail Stopped hitting my inbox on July 1 , I tried to re-register for it and the site tells me I am already subcribed, was wondering if you might be so kind as to let me know if its my problem or if you had a hick-up... Thanks so much and God Bless your team fro bringing this awesome reasource to us I know for myself being ADD it tremendously helps my reading comprehension and retention of scripture......
