Here you will be able to record thoughts that prick your heart as your journey through the Bible, along with a chronicle of what's going on in your life RIGHT NOW. As you build this "pile of rocks," you'll be able to look back and see God's hand at work in a way you never imagined possible.

JOURNALLING NOTE: In case you're concerned... your journals on the site were not lost. We'll be loading them into the new site soon. It would be most helpful for you to create an account with the same User ID as you had on the old site (if you can remember it) so that we can easily link your journals.

2 Chronicles 24:1-25:28 ~ Romans 12:1-21 ~ Psalm 22:19-31 ~ Proverbs 20:8-10   Prayer:  We come before you, laying ourselves down as living sacrifices.  As the apostle Paul admonished us to do in the book of Romans today, laying aside our preferences, setting aside our agendas, and giving ourselves to you, holy and pleasing, as an act of worship, our very lives given to your service as an act of worship to you in response to what you have done for us.  So we will not conform to the patterns o...[More]

Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves. Many times in our relationships with one another, especially in marriages, it is easy to cling to what is evil rather than good. The Bible tells us to hate the evil and cling to good. We are not to hold on to the wrongs or misunderstanding that were dealt to us, but to cling or hold on to the good that has been given us. Hate the evil thing, not the pe...[More]

Verse 10 says, "Switchng price tags and padding the expense account are two things God hates." God desires honesty from the small details like switiching prices tags to the larger ones like padding the expense account. Call out to the Lord for a nation who Leaders continue to live honestly before the Lord. We need God's favor on our economy continually. Of course if we live our lives for the Lord, He will be faithful to us on a  personally. Praise the Lord who keeps His word and does...[More]

2 Chronicles 21:1-23:21 ~ Romans 11:13-36 ~ Psalm 22:1-18 ~ Proverbs 20:7   God loyal people living honest lives make it much easier for their children.  Prov. 20:7   Yeah, that is a powerful proverb as well.  This speaks to something that we’ve been talking about throughout this month so far, the idea of our heritage, the idea that we are the caretakers of the Kingdom at this point in history, and that we will pass it on.  Remember when we talked about David and his preparation for Solomon...[More]

I'm putting together a little guide for our church youth group tomorrow night. Neither myself nor my other Wednesday night cohort in crime, Dewey, can be there, so one of the college-age guys is going to lead the group. I thought I'd jot down the flow here, since I can easily link directly to the videos and write out the discussion questions as well.   GETTING STARTED Today we're going to watch a couple video clips from a movie called To Save a Life. This movie is the story of a young man named...[More]

2 Chronicles 19:1-20:37 ~ Romans 10:14-11:12 ~ Psalm 21:1-13 ~ Proverbs 20:4-6   Wow, those are three amazing sayings and that is the nature of the proverbs.  They have this ability to in one sentence to say a goldmine of truth.  Just think of the ones today alone.    A farmer too lazy to plant in the spring has nothing to harvest in the fall.   Alright, if you’re not going to sow, you’re not going to reap.  Right?  What you sow, you will reap.  So by the farmer not sowing at all, he reaped ...[More]

2 Chronicles 17:1-18:34 ~ Romans 9:25-10:13 ~ Psalm 20:1-9 ~ Proverbs 20:2-3   Prayer:  Father, we want the mark of good character.  We don’t want to be fools.  As with everything else, we’re challenged by your word to raise the bar, to step up to what we were created to be.  All we can do is surrender our wills and our lives to get there, because it is only through your strength that we are anything.  It is only in our letting go of our agenda and our preferences that we can become who w...[More]
