bcb Wife in hospital
My wife had colon surgery earlier this year, and is in the hospital again due to an obstruction that we're waiting to clear. I've faithfully demonstrated my love and caring for her, spending nearly the entire weekend at the hospital with her, including two nights. Tonight I felt the proper thing to do was to focus on a normal evening at home with the kids and to see them off to school tomorrow, but my wife is upset with that because she feels that she needs to be my primary focus right now. She's upset with her present condition, and some of the uncomfortable treatments and discomfort of the whole thing. She's discouraged. I've told her that if I felt there was any danger to her, or that I didn't think she was getting good care I wouldn't leave her over night. When she had the surgery, I spent 5 nights of 7, and the first couple were very rough. Neither I nor the doctors feel that she is in dire straits right now. She's uncomfortable, but will survive.



I'm frustrated. I feel manipulated. I don't feel respected. I shouldn't be made to feel guilt about a decision made in balancing the needs of all my family.

Oh Lord,



I pray for peace over this brother of ours tonight, Your peace Lord that surpasses all understanding and guards his mind in Christ Jesus. I pray for rest for him and his wife and the children while it has been draining for them, help them all to replenish. Lord, we thank you for his wife getting better and for this time tonight with his kids. We just pray You would protect their marriage through this circumstance. It's so hard to be tired and dealing with so much. Bring them rest Lord and take their burdens from them....In Jesus name, Amen...



Just rest tonight, you came home to be with the children, just rest, tomorrow is a fresh start. His faithfulness is new every morning.
