2 Chronicles 24:1-25:28 ~ Romans 12:1-21 ~ Psalm 22:19-31 ~ Proverbs 20:8-10
Prayer: We come before you, laying ourselves down as living sacrifices. As the apostle Paul admonished us to do in the book of Romans today, laying aside our preferences, setting aside our agendas, and giving ourselves to you, holy and pleasing, as an act of worship, our very lives given to your service as an act of worship to you in response to what you have done for us. So we will not conform to the patterns of the world. Instead, we will be transformed by the renewing of our minds that only your Holy Spirit can do in us. We are your body. We are here to do your work. We are the church. You didn’t need to do it this way. You could do it any way you want and yet you chose to finish the work through us, your people, and we must ask you to forgive us because we have been so distracted trying to one up each other, trying to be right. We set aside our rights and give ourselves as living sacrifices to you. Use us. Come, Holy Spirit. Transform us by the renewing of our minds so that we can walk around this earth doing your bidding. The rest is not our responsibility. Our responsibility is to obey you. The rest is your job. Come, Holy Spirit, and lead us. We’re listening. We place ourselves on the altar as the living sacrifices that we are. Lead us into all truth, we pray, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
www.dailyaudiobible.com is the website. Of course, the Daily Audio Bible is what you are listening to, but there are sister programs that may meet additional needs or may meet the needs of some of the community that you live in. Daily Audio Bible en Espanol is, of course, the Daily Audio Bible in Spanish, a community in Spanish, going through the scriptures in a year, as well as Daily Audio Bible Hindi and Daily Audio Bible Japanese. So if you know people that speak those languages as their native language, then, by all means, introduce them to these sister programs so that they can participate in community going through
the scriptures together. Of course, there is the Daily Audio Proverb, going through the book of Proverbs once per month, 12 times per year, applying the wisdom of the ages, really, to our lives and hearts. Then there is Daily Audio Bible Kids, going through the New Testament with kids, by kids, for kids. Of course, they have their own community at www.dailyaudiobiblekids.com. So there you go! That is our little family of programs that we have that release every single day around here. So get involved in any of those that will be enriching to your
life.
So last night was fun, right!? Those of you who were there, it was a good time with Neil Anderson sharing about freedom in Christ and we sharing our questions and comments and stories and just spending time with one another in community in the chat rooms. It was a ball. It was great to see so many of you. We’ll look forward to doing that again in the near future. Some really interesting and cool things are shaping up on the near horizon.
If you want to partner with the Daily Audio Bible, you can do that at the website. Thank you. Thank you for your partnership, especially here in the deep summer. This has always been a family affair. It always will be a family affair. That is just how we roll around here. We’ve just been able to model community in a way that is unique in the body of Christ in that we can come together with all of our flavors and stripes with one thing in common: The word of God. It is sort of the
baseline that we can say, you know what? This is the foundation for our lives and everything else is secondary to that and live in community based on going through the Bible together. It is kind of a cool thing. So it has always been a family affair and it is a family affair. If God is compelling you to partner with the Daily Audio Bible in keeping its mission of bringing the spoken word of God to anyone who will listen, anywhere on this planet, anytime, well, then you can do that at the website. If you prefer, the mailing address is P.O. Box 1996, Spring Hill, TN 37174.

Alright, that is all for today. I love you. I’m Brian. I'll be waiting for you here tomorrow.
Prayer Requests:
Hi. My name is Joe. I’m from Colorado Springs, CO. I’m calling with a prayer request. Tomorrow morning…today is July 12…tomorrow morning my wife and I are going to the courthouse to file divorce papers. It started pretty much in February. She announced to me that she has been having an affair and so then the next week we got separated. She moved into her own place and I could just really use some prayers for guidance, peace of mind, and, furthermore, just to pray that my wife can really sort through what she wants out of
this. During all of this, she kind of questioned whether she even wanted to be married period, like to anyone, and then if she ever wanted kids, which I really want kids in my future, so it has just put a lot of burden on my heart and I’ve had a lot of pain from this. We still see each other. We still go to church together. Some of our friends are aware of our situation, but I could just really use some prayers. Like I said, tomorrow morning, first thing, we are going to the courthouse to file and then nothing is really final, I guess, for 90 days. So I just ask and pray that God will use those 90 days to continue to work in our lives and help us figure out where each of us is going so
that we can further the work of God and that both of us are happy. I think also just in today’s society we could really use prayers for all the marriages out there. I have two coworkers I work with and both are going through very similar circumstances of their wives either having affairs or just wanting to leave and get out of their marriage. So I think if we could all just pray for marriages, that Satan stays out of them, and that we can just be married and come closer to God. I just really ask for prayers. My soul is hurting. I’ve come very close to God through all this. In fact, this is how I found Daily Audio Bible. It was during this I picked up a second job to help with my bills since my wife had moved out, so I was listening to podcasts and went to search for something a little different and was able to find this podcast, Daily Audio Bible. It has just really helped me a lot just to get God’s word into my life. There have been many times where I have asked for God’s guidance and then Brian comes on and reads something and speaks to that and it was kind of just what I needed to hear. It really gave me hope and inspiration and just a little guidance. But I could always pray and ask for more. So, again, my name is Joe out of Colorado Springs, just asking you to pray to be with me and my wife, help her
find out what she really wants in life, whether that is kids and marriage with me or just where that all goes and then also pray for all the marriages out there in the US and throughout the world because I think Satan gets in there and tries to pry us apart and puts a lot of turmoil between spouses. So thank you very much for your prayers. I thank you Daily Audio Bible.

Here you will be able to record thoughts that prick your heart as your journey through the Bible, along with a chronicle of what's going on in your life RIGHT NOW. As you build this "pile of rocks," you'll be able to look back and see God's hand at work in a way you never imagined possible.
JOURNALLING NOTE: In case you're concerned... your journals on the site were not lost. We'll be loading them into the new site soon. It would be most helpful for you to create an account with the same User ID as you had on the old site (if you can remember it) so that we can easily link your journals.

As I ponder the phrase, "Create a Clean Heart in Me", these things stand out to me:
"Create a Clean Heart"
As the fourth verse indicates, sin is always ultimately against God. Even one's sin in a lateral sense, towards others, is always ultimately against God - because He is the Creator and Sustainer of all things.
Having said that, however, sin wreaks havoc with our heart! Like rust on an automobile, and a limb eaten away with a deadly disease, it can never be restored to what it had b...[More]

Ah! Here God shares His heart about one of the basic struggles of leadership – keeping those who follow and have appreciated our example, from making their love for us into something robotic, mechanical, unresponsive, unfeeling, humorless, unemotional, cold, lifeless, boring, dull, and uninteresting!
As I wrote in an earlier journal entry, Jesus modeled an excellent plan to keep love alive, by using his last meal with his disciples on earth to actually picture his sacrifice of love, in obedienc...[More]

How can I be a godly leader? That's the question of the disucussion I'm leading on our church's high school youth group tomorrow morning. This is the third lesson in a series of four, and I haven't been present for the first two lessons, nor do I have the materials to look back and see what they covered. So first things first, I want to walk through down the road of where we've been so far. After that, I want to pose the questions, "should we all be leaders," and "is leadership something we ...[More]

Ecclesiastes 4:1-6:12 ~ 2 Corinthians 6:14-7:7 ~ Psalm 47:1-9 ~ Proverbs 22:16
Prayer: Father, we come before you as we contemplate Ecclesiastes again. As we consider the three-stranded cord is not easily broken, as we consider that two are better than one, that one may assault another and overtake him, but he will not be able to take two, help us to remember that we are in community. That we are your body and together we can withstand the onslaughts of the evil one intended to kill, s...[More]
